As you can see, Got Pride! 2001 promises to be another memorable event.  The Syracuse Pride Committee strives each year to provide a safe, enjoyable Pride day.  Unlike other cities, the committee works very hard to keep the Syracuse GLBT Pride celebration free of charge for all participants.  The costs for last year’s celebration were in excess of $7,000.  All monies raised to fund the Pride celebration came from our community in the form of cash grants, donations of merchandise or services, or through sponsorship.  If you are interested in helping to defray the cost of this year’s celebration, please contact Amy LaBarge at (315) 424.0315.  The committee will be more than happy to send you its fundraising information packet.  Please watch for other fundraising venues in the near future. Another way to help make Got Pride! 2001 a success is through your personal involvement.  The Syracuse Pride Committee meets on the last Monday of each month at the Spirits (My Bar). You can greatly effect the success of Got Pride! 2001 by volunteering your time.  The committee needs a large number of volunteers to help with parade route concerns, security, festival staffing and other assorted activities.  Stop by Spirits to find out more information on how you can help.   Please consider helping to promote the spirit of pride in Syracuse by becoming involved in this great event.
